International partner for art and culture networking
Artforum Culture Foundation (ACF) is a European, non-profit private foundation that acts as an independent cultural initiative, operating through international art spaces and branches. Its core mission is to promote art and culture through collaboration with other non-profit organisations, independent projects, and artists. A particular focus lies on collecting modern and contemporary art, especially from Greece and the Greek diaspora. In Greece, the foundation operates under national legislation governing non-profit private foundations.
There are few peoples in the world as deeply connected to the global community as the Greeks. Today, an estimated eight million people of Greek origin live outside the country. From the United States to the former Soviet republics, from Canada and Australia to Latin America, South Africa and across nearly every European country – there is scarcely a major international centre without a Greek community. This global presence reflects a deeply rooted cultural openness and a tradition of dialogue that makes Greece a meaningful place for a foundation devoted to the arts and to intercultural engagement.
Statement
Art and culture are not one-way systems. They are both source and driving force of social and economic development. The Artforum Culture Foundation seeks to foster positive dynamics by supporting and collecting internationally recognised and emerging artists, and by working in cooperation with institutions, initiatives, collectors, and all those who are seriously committed to the freedom of cultural expression and democratic societies.
The foundation is dedicated to sustaining cultural dialogue and artistic exchange across all borders, in the belief that these efforts contribute to mutual understanding and tolerance between nations. For this reason, ACF positions itself foremost as an international institution. This aligns with its fundamental objective: to contribute to cultural authenticity while resisting cultural uniformity.
The foundation upholds the values of humanism and is committed to peace, social cohesion, and respect among all cultures. It initiates and supports a range of transnational projects – including EEC, Network Project, GULF PROJECTS, From Dark to Light, Art and Religion, and Public Space – offering artists opportunities to create and present their work in accordance with their own values and aesthetics.
A particular emphasis is placed on the promotion of gifted artists across all disciplines. The foundation is pleased to advocate for the professional and artistic interests of creators.
Through its open, collaborative approach, the Artforum Culture Foundation is a qualified partner for major cultural initiatives of public interest – alongside artists, galleries, collectors, local authorities, companies, and all those who value the future of independent culture.
Artforum Culture Foundation Hellas (AMKE)
The Artforum Culture Foundation is as well an independent European informal partner of Artforum Culture Foundation Hellas (AMKE), a Greek non-profit civil company operating under national law. While both entities share common goals and values in supporting cultural dialogue and contemporary artistic practice, they are legally and institutionally distinct. They share their vision rather than organisational dependency, ensuring flexibility, autonomy, and mutual respect in the pursuit of cultural initiatives across borders.
